Dance, Singing and Yoga Activities for Care Homes

In person and On Demand delivery or Activities for Care Homes – including, dance, singing and yoga

At Synergy, we offer a range of programs specifically designed to enhance the lives of residents in care homes across the UK. Our primary offerings include on-site delivery of seated dance and seated yoga sessions, ParaStars Dance™ for Seniors, and ParaStars Yoga®/Pilates. These are supplemented by online delivery and one-on-one sessions for those with very limited mobility or in palliative care.

About our sessions

Our programs cater to both group and individual needs, promoting physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. The market for one-to-one enrichment activities is growing, addressing the needs of in-patients, out-patients, care home residents, and the elderly living at home. Our tailored, high-quality programs significantly improve the quality of life for seniors and patients, offering crucial emotional and social support alongside physical benefits.

Timing: Flexible dance, yoga, and fitness classes for all levels

Our classes are designed to fit your schedule and budget, whether you’re looking for weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly sessions. Typically, sessions run between mid-morning and mid-afternoon, making them easy to fit around your daily routine and existing activities.

In terms of variety, we offer a wide range of classes, including chair dance, yoga, Pilates, and fitness sessions. These can be delivered in person, live via Zoom, or through pre-recorded videos. Alternatively, you can choose a combination of these formats to maximise flexibility and accessibility.

In addition to our classes, we also provide training programmes for activity coordinators. These programmes are available online or in person and are designed to equip staff with practical skills, confidence, and inclusive techniques. As a result, activity coordinators can deliver engaging movement and wellbeing activities more effectively within care settings.

Digital Classes

Our pre-recorded lessons can be shared either during the day via a communal TV screen or within people’s own homes.

As a result, this offers a flexible pathway that supports residents to exercise regularly and at their own pace. What’s more, our classes are available for older adults to repeat as often as they wish. This means activity times can easily fit around participants’ lifestyles, routines, and existing commitments.

Benefits of On Demand

Seated videos are available for care homes, day centres and retirement homes. You can play our seated yoga, dance and pilates videos to support:

Why Choose Synergy On Demand

Classes enrich participants’ days immensely and are delivered either via a shared screen or as a live, facilitated activity.

For many participants, this can be the first step in building confidence to eventually attend other classes. In fact, we run several additional sessions within the community. As a result, many residents who take part locally tell us they enjoy this supported and gradual route into fitness and wellbeing.
