Since our appearance on Strictly Come Dancing in November 2021, our delivery has become National spanning with delivery in Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, London, Kent, Essex, East and West Midlands. Tess and Claudia came to visit a SEND class for children and Young People, and we were delighted to receive a 10 paddle!
Since its inception in 2016, and following pilots in schools, Synergy Dance® Outreach has been providing new and innovative dance, fitness, singing and yoga programs specifically designed for schools and leisure centres, care homes, outreach centres and holiday schemes, for children and adults.
Synergy has won 10 National awards including for inclusivity, and Specialist Dance School 2021/2022/2023 and Best All-Ages Dance Activity Company 2023. We have specialist SEND trained delivery teachers and assistants who will deliver our programme for you.

We remove the usual barriers by providing, accessible, welcoming fun activities. This enables new life-skills, confidence, self-esteem, independence and resilience, and new important friendships/networks with others with similar lived experience.
We know from feedback how our services improve:
– Physical and mental wellbeing
– Building of confidence, resilience, self-belief, hope for the future
– Increase endorphins and can help reduce/manage chronic pain, cortisol levels and associated stress/anxiety,
– Emotional regulation, boosts the immune system,
– Body/spatial awareness, balance, fitness, core strength, stamina, flexibility, motor skills and posture.
Classes enable learning teamwork, creative thinking/expression and empathy for others, help raise aspirations and improve empowerment through learning activities and tools to help control their own wellbeing.
Are you fully inclusive?
We offer partners the opportunity to be inclusive, offering diversity of choice from schools, to leisure chains to care homes. We support carers’ networks, local befriending and volunteering services and offer opportunities for people with SEND to build up their skills for leadership programmes and Levelling Up. SDO are also keen to provide work experience and placement opportunities for SEND young people.
We further connect with other organisations which support specific groups we are targeting – for example we are working with British Blind Sport, FND Hope UK, Active Surrey, Sport England, Everyone Active, Places for People, Freedom Leisure and are now celebrating some 60 or so partnerships.
We aim to be fully inclusive in all we do. We observe Safeguarding practice and the protection of children and adults within our activities.
Synergy Outreach delivers sessions in schools to target inactive children who may especially benefit from an inclusive and specialist dance and movement class. We also provide one to one support via SENCO in our schools. Our delivery expands to sports centres, care homes and may be live or On Demand or a combination of both.
Our courses are suitable for:
– The disability community
– Those with SEND
– Seniors – Healthy ageing and low impact programmes
– Those with Long Term Health Conditions (LTHC)
– Visually impaired/Blind
– Deaf community and Hard of hearing
– School children, teens and young people
