Synergy Dance Outreach is a registered charity that provides dance, movement, yoga, art, cookery, food and nutrition workshops and fitness classes for children, teens and adults as well as Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) programs.
SEND needs range from autism, severe learning difficulties, special needs support, speech, language and communication needs, emotional and learning difficulties, to visual impairments and physical disabilities.
Synergy Dance Outreach provides inclusive opportunities for people to have fun where neither finance, fitness, ability, disability or family circumstance stand as barriers to participation. This presents a starting point for enabling healthy lifestyle choices and the sharing of new skills and knowledge.
Our purpose is to reach those children and adults who may be less suited to team sports and prefer a dance option to keep fit – both in mainstream and disability sectors. We want to help reduce obesity among young people and create volunteer and training opportunities for adults.
Our inclusive Dance Movement classes for SEND and mainstream participants stimulate imaginative dance, build confidence, strengthen co-ordination and nurture a quality environment where participants of all ages can relax, make friends and be creative!
The Synergy Dance® Outreach formula
The Synergy formula includes a mix of choreography, methodology, music, drama and dance steps. The main dance styles are Street, Breakdance, Acrobatics, Jazz, Ballroom and Latin, Hip Hop, Cheerleading, Disco, Fusion, contemporary and ballet, inspired by the aim to synergise the many different dance forms; a unique and ground-breaking effect.

We aim to provide a safe, happy and inspiring resource for children and adults to learn new skills and keep fit. Our classes, courses and activities are full of energy, fun and flair for all and encourage creativity and imagination through dance.
Our action-packed classes are an energetic mix of upbeat music, drama, dance, games and creativity. We encourage imagination through dance and our classes have great appeal to all.
We offer art and dance workshops, family classes, wilderness workshops, cookery and nutrition camps, mentorships, internships, work experience and training for coaches. For adults there is special provision for Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Mental Health and active over 60s. We also sponsor community performance events.
We aim to be fully inclusive in all we do. We observe Safeguarding practice and the protection of children and adults within our activities.
Our Partners & Schemes
Para Dance UK and Synergy Dance Outreach work together to further opportunities for the disability community in Surrey to engage in inclusive dance, sport, cultural and creative professions. Our instructors are all trained by Para Dance UK.
We are Active Surrey School Engagement partners for our delivery in schools in Surrey, working together to ensure best practice and inclusive activities for all.
FISH (Fun in the School Holidays) is an inclusive school holiday activity program for children aged 10-16. It opens up access to recreation and provides scope for learning, personal development and friendship making. Anti-bullying workshops and SENCO support are available.
Sport England, The Arts Council, Just Act and Surrey Playing Fields Association have all supported us with funding initiatives to provide free workshops for County Council holiday schemes and subsidized classes for inactive or disadvantaged children and teens.
We are affiliated to Exercise Dance Movement UK (EDMUK) who work with us to create and develop more quality opportunities for children and young people to be active.
In collaboration with Sight for Surrey, we deliver for partially sighted and blind children.
We work in partnership with Guildford Spectrum Leisure Complex (Freedom Leisure) where we run dance courses, parties and holiday workshops. Synergy Outreach provides SEN classes for children aged 6-12 years in this venue. You can also find us in Freedom Leisure Ash, Maidstone and Woking.
In partnership with Cracking Good Food, we plan to enable one stop delivery of nutrition/cooking/heathy living workshops alongside our dance, yoga and fitness activities for children. We work with local people as co-ordinators and cooks, to boost our local economy, link in with the local sustainable food network and raise awareness of food waste.
