Synergy Dance® Outreach Supports Inclusive Schools Activity Day at The Oval
On 8th May, the Synergy Dance Outreach team was proud to support the Surrey Cricket Foundation Schools Activity Day at The Oval, helping to bring accessible sport, movement and dance to hundreds of children and young people from across the region.
Working alongside Surrey Cricket Foundation and a fantastic network of partners, our team delivered inclusive movement activities that ensured every child, regardless of ability or experience, had the opportunity to take part, build confidence and enjoy being physically active.
A Day of Incredible Impact
The event reached an impressive:
- 68 schools
- 802 children and young people participating on the pitch
- 136 volunteers supporting the day
- 413 teachers and carers in attendance
- 1,341 people impacted overall

The Surrey Cricket Foundation team worked tirelessly throughout the event, both on and off the pitch, creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child could experience the joy of movement and sport.

Inclusive Sport in Action
One of the highlights of the day was seeing children from so many different schools taking part together, with 38% of the young participants being girls—a fantastic demonstration of the growing accessibility and inclusivity of school sport.
Events such as this show what can be achieved when organisations work collaboratively to remove barriers to participation and ensure that every child has the opportunity to be active, develop new skills and experience the physical, social and emotional benefits of inclusive sport.
